Domestic Boat Shipping

We offer all types of transportation options. From towing your boat on its own trailer, to moving super yachts, no job is too small or too big. If we can't help you, we will give you the name of someone that can.

To make the transportation process go as smoothly as possible, you as the owner have some responsibilities.

1) Provide accurate dimensions. This is so important. Do not guess on any of the measurements. Inches really matter. If you provide inaccurate dimensions it will lead to delays and additional charges.

2) Have your boat properly prepared for transport. 95% of any damage that occurs during transport is from poor boat preparation. Please follow the boat preparation guide.

3) Have all marina charges cleared prior to the trucking company arriving for the pick-up of your boat. All loading and unloading charges are you responsibility. Unless your boat is being towed on its trailer, you must provide us with lift arrangements. A representative at JTC global will be happy to help you if you are having problems finding a suitable place to load or unload your boat.

4) Have all the funds available as soon as the driver arrives. Personal checks cannot be accepted. Cashiers checks, wire transfers, and cash are the only form of payment that we accept. We do not accept credit cards.

5) Please let us know if there are any issues or any questions during this process. We work for you. Sometimes issues do come up in the transportation business. Truck repairs, weather conditions, permit delays, are just to name a few. We will work to correct any issues encountered, and you will always be informed with honest information.

6) We insure that all of carriers carry cargo insurance and have motor carrier authority. This is at no charge to you. Please be aware you are probably getting a carrier that has no insurance or authority if you get an unbelievably low bid. This can lead to your boat being impounded half way across the country and some massive amounts of charges to you. JTC Global takes that worry away from you. We ensure that all of our carriers have the insurance coverage you need to protect your property.

7) Please have the trailer serviced if your boat is being towed. Any repairs that are needed on the road will be billed to you.

International Boat Shipping

There are several different means to ship boats internationally. We will tailor the transportation to fit your needs. The options can be limited by the size of the boat, port locations, timing, and budget. We will give you every option available to you and help you make the best choice for your particular requirements.

We will give you quotes from US to Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean within one day. Other quotes may take some time depending on boat dimensions and location.

Please have all keys and original paperwork sent to the person receiving the boat. DO NOT give any paperwork or keys to the driver.

Rates are based on the dimensions that you provide. The boats are measured at the port. There will be additional charges if the boat is larger that the dimensions provided.

A Bill of Lading is issued, on average, about halfway through the sailing. We will provide you with our agents in the destination country to help you with the customs and release information. You can choose to use your own agent if you wish.

Once the boat has been delivered to the shipping port all ocean freight is due.

We do our best to avoid crane charges at the Port. Crane use is at the Port's discretion and any crane charges will be billed to you.

We can do any service that you require for shipment:

• Cradles • Winterization
• Tower Removal • Arch Removal
• Shrink Wrap • Captain Service
• Bridge Removal

Please let us no if you need these done prior to driver going to the pick up location. Also, please have all lift fees, marina charges, storage, etc., paid before the driver gets to the pick-up location.

All boats will photographed before loading on the ship. We are not responsible for missing shrink wrap after releasing the boat to the shipping line.

Some international trucking rates are available. Ask a JTC representative for additional information.

Cradles & Trailers

On all ocean transport the boats must either have a cradle or a trailer. We build all of our cradles to the port specifications. We guarantee that the port will accept our cradle as being acceptable for ocean freight. Additional charges will apply if you choose to use a different cradle, and the port rejects it.

Prices for the cradle vary with the size and type of cradle needed. Contact a JTC representative for quotes.

We will be happy to locate a trailer for you if you wish to transport the boat on a trailer and you do not have one.

Remember that the calculated dimensions include the total length of the trailer.

Arch Removal Removing the radar arch can save you hundreds of dollars on your ocean freight.
Winterization Winterization is very important to have done during the winter months. Failure to do this can result in ruined engines and massive plumbing and interior damage. We would be happy to assist you if needed.
Shrink Wrap

This is optional but highly recommended. Not only does it protect your boat and keep it clean, it also provides a modest level of security.

Shrink wrap is a very good theft deterrent, but JTC global transport recommends that you consider shipping all of the electronics separately. The insurance coverage does not apply to the boat contents.

Marine Insurance

Cargo insurance is included for all domestic and inland transport.

You may purchase marine ocean for 1.5% of the declared value of the boat with a $500.00 minimum deductible.

The insurance coverage varies for larger yachts. Please contact a JTC Global Transport associate for a quote.
